A blue jay I created for my freshman year art class, and yet another practice in realism. This is most likely my magnum opus from this class, I had never drawn realism or even attempted it before this class, so being able to make something like this, with all of the shading, and looking at the refrences, and planning out the colors was extremly difficult to do. Looking back on it, it certainly doesn't look as good to me as it did a few years ago, but I still did a good job, and this helped boost my confidence tenfold. Made using Prismacolor colored pencils
This bone dragon was a birthday present for my Mom. It turned out wonderfully, and it looks so gross, which is what I was going for. This one was also made using watercolor pencils and just a blue pen/marker. The marker bleeds when it comes into contact with the water, but I think the effect looks nice.
An owl I drew on a card for someone. I actually used a reference and I tried to go for a more realistic art style and I think it turned out well. Made using some pen, probably one from officemate (I think that was the brand) and watercolor pencils.
A water scene I made for art class in my freshman year of high schoo;, I think it turned out wonderfully and my mother has it framed in the house :). We were supposed to practice different types of shading with this, but it kind of failed. This was made using microns and watercolor pencils. I think it took me two weeks to finish.
